The Fire Department -"We are committed to saving and protecting lives and property".  The Department is equipped and staffed at a level allowing quick fire response to minimize losses.  Firefighters work 24/72 shifts and are on duty 24 hour shifts each 28-day cycle.  The fire department includes pumpers, a quint, a medic unit, tenders, hazmat vehicle and a mobile incident command vehicle from one station located in the geographic center of the city limits.
